In recent years, with the advancement of science and technology, many new models have appeared in the electric vehicle industry, and these models are nothing more than two models, namely lead-acid electric vehicles and lithium electric vehicles. In this regard, many users have this question: Is it better to choose lead-acid electric vehicles or lithium electric vehicles? Today, on this issue, I will discuss in detail with you from five aspects.
1. Durability: Lithium electric vehicles are more durable than lead-acid electric vehicles
First of all, in terms of durability, the number of charging and discharging of lithium batteries can reach about 500 times, while lead-acid batteries usually only have about 350 times. Assuming a three-day charge, the service life of lithium batteries can reach 4 to 5 years, while lead-acid batteries usually can only be used for about 3 years. Therefore, we can see that lithium electric vehicles are more durable than lead-acid electric vehicles.
2. Volume and weight: Lithium electric vehicles are lighter than lead-acid electric vehicles
Secondly, from the perspective of volume and weight, the same model of lithium batteries and lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries are smaller and lighter, and this means that electric vehicles equipped with lithium batteries are lighter than lead-acid electric vehicles. Judging from the requirements of the new national standard, the design of lithium electric vehicles is also more in line with the requirements of the new national standard.
3. Price: Lithium electric vehicles are more expensive than lead-acid electric vehicles
In addition, for the same type of electric vehicles, the price of lithium electric vehicles is usually more expensive than that of lead-acid electric vehicles. The main reason is that the price of lithium batteries is more than twice that of lead-acid batteries, so the price of the whole vehicle will be relatively higher.
4. Stability: Lead-acid electric vehicles are more stable than lithium electric vehicles
Of course, from the perspective of stability, lead-acid batteries are more stable than lithium batteries. The main reason is that lead-acid battery technology is more mature than lithium battery technology, and the material is more stable.
5. Recycling: lead-acid battery recycling rate is higher
Finally, everyone knows that lead-acid batteries can be recycled after they are scrapped, and the recycling price is much higher than that of lithium batteries, so the cost of using them will be lower than that of lithium batteries.
Based on the above 5 points, both lead-acid electric vehicles and lithium electric vehicles have their own advantages and disadvantages
